Runner-Up Performance for Stevens in Scrapp Fox Memorial
On Saturday night Tyler Stevens rolled into Tracey Clay’s I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), where he was looking to defend his title in the Scrapp Fox Memorial. Forty-four entries were on hand for the 18th running of the special event, and Tyler began his night with a dominant heat race win. (Brandon Young photo)
Via his heat race performance, Stevens earned a spot in the Big Show Productions Dash for Cash, where he finished second.
The finale found the Arkansas racer starting third on the grid. He advanced to a runner-up finish behind race winner, Justin Whitehead.
“I didn’t ever really get into a good rhythm in the feature. The track had lots of character and that’s just not my style of racing,” Stevens said. “Congrats to Whitehead the on win. We ran 30 laps bumper to bumper with IRP Race Cars sponsored by W&W Timber going first and second again so that’s pretty cool. We’re now looking forward to getting ready for three nights of racing this coming week at Batesville Motor Speedway during the Topless 100.”
The front duo was followed across the finish line by JT Goodson, Brint Hartwick, and Keaton Atkinson.
