Stevens Finishes Second in Fog-Shortened Frost Bite 50

Tyler made his debut at Outlaw Speedway (Perkinston, Mississippi) over the weekend in the inaugural Frost Bite 50. In preliminary action on Friday night, Stevens qualified second fastest before winning his qualifier to earn a front-row starting spot for Saturday’s main event.

Stevens ran second early in the $5,000-to-win finale before a dense fog set in, forcing officials to make the tough decision to cancel the remainder of the event with just two laps complete. Tyler was credited with a second-place finish.

“I believe we had the best car, so it stinks to not get the win. However, the officials made the absolute best call. I had already gone through 22 tear-offs in the first 2 laps because the fog was so bad,” Stevens said. “Thanks to my whole team on their hard work this weekend. We’ll head to the next one now, and look for another win.”
