Tyler Stevens grabs top-5 finish with CCSDS at Boothill
Tyler Stevens joined the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) over the weekend and notched a fourth-place result in Saturday's 51st annual Louisiana Dirt Track State Championship event at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana).
Stevens opened the evening struggling with his cooling system in hot laps and qualifying as 32 CCSDS Super Late Models took to the quarter-mile oval. He and the team changed radiators in their Southern Belle No. 2 car to fix the issue and scored a heat race win after starting second.
Stevens rolled off third in the 40-lap, $5,000-to-win main event and came home in the fourth spot. He followed Cade Dillard, BJ Robinson and Mason Oberkramer across the line. Hunter Rasdon finished fifth.
The Boothill program was set to be part of CCSDS doubleheader, but Friday’s slated event at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas) fell to inclement weather.
