Stevens continues season with MARS at Tri-City
Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) was the site of Tyler Stevens' second Midwest Auto Racing Series (MARS) start in as many weeks on Saturday when the Arkansas native joined the tour for the MARS Late Model Championship.
After Friday’s slated program was rained out, Stevens was one of 36 MARS drivers at the 3/8-mile track on Saturday seeking a $5,000 payday.
He set the second-quickest time in his group during qualifying and finished second in his heat race after starting on the pole. However, he didn’t start the 30-lap main event and was listed 22nd in the final rundown.
